This is the Lisbon route I send first-time visitors when they want one good day without bouncing back and forth across the city.

01
See / Baixa
Praça do Comércio
Start in the main square by the water. It is the cleanest place to orient yourself before the day starts.
From here, head toward Cais do Sodré and cross the river for lunch.
-
02
Eat / Almada
Atira-te ao Rio
Lunch on the other side of the river. Go for seafood, order slowly, and sit by the water if you can.
After lunch, cross back and follow the waterfront west toward MAAT.
-
03
See / Belém
MAAT
A good museum stop with one of the better waterfront views. The cafe is the point if you do not want to do the whole museum.
Keep moving west through Belém when you are ready for pastry.
-
04
Eat / Belém
Pastéis de Belém
Get the pastel de nata here. It is popular for a reason.
Head back toward the center for dinner after this.
-
05
Eat / Lisbon
O Aregos
A straightforward Portuguese steakhouse dinner. Affordable, unfussy, and a good reset after walking all day.
Finish by going back toward the waterfront for a rooftop drink.
-
06
Drink / Lisbon
Java Rooftop
End here with a drink. You get the city, the water, and a clean finish to the route.
